GRACE COVINGTON

 
 

Grace is a specialist pelvic & Hip physiotherapist with a passion for female health and performance, early onset menopause and sport and exercise in relation to pregnancy (pre and post natal). Alongside her Clinical work at MHG, Grace works with the team at the Portland Hospital providing expert treatment for all conditions impacting the pelvis, hip and Groin with a specialist interest in female athlete pelvic health.

Grace trained at Kings College London and has since qualified in Female Urinary Incontinence Physiotherapy, Pre- and Post Natal care and Pilates coaching, making her ideally placed to combine hands-on treatment with targeted exercise prescription that works to get you back to doing the things you love.

Over the past 5 years Grace has worked with both 7s and 15s rugby teams at national and international level, most recently as Physiotherapist for the England Women’s team and it is through this specialist work that she developed her passion for managing and treating hip and pelvic injuries. As part of a unique network of leading orthopaedic and urogynaecology consultants, Grace works to provide the highest-quality care for her patients.

Grace brings a unique spin from a physiotherapy perspective as she is highly trained in musculoskeletal assessment and treatment, with postgraduate training in obstetric and gynaecology. Grace does both vaginal and rectal exams where indicated to look at pelvic floor strength, tone, pain, prolapse, birth injuries, coccyx injuries, pelvic pain and tightness following hip replacement.

At MHG, Grace sees everyone from young active females with dyspareunia, to menopausal women with prolapse symptoms or athletes wanting guidance on VO2 and lactate thresholds (with support from the MHG physiologists) during pregnancy.

When she’s not in clinic you’ll find Grace practicing what she preaches, exercising regularly, both in the gym and out in the fresh air as well as relaxing at home with family and cats.
